The Search for The JOB

Wow. It's almost 6 months since I have written anything down - since I have left for USA. It has been one great journey for me, one that has opened up a new perspective in my life. Made many new friends, learned many new stuffs, took a hell lot of roller-coaster rides, been to many places and whole lot more. The work there wasn't as pleasant as I had thought of. Glad I made through it though. Would talk about it more in future posts. :)

Now that I am back for a month, I have started looking for job everywhere. I started by applying engineering jobs, and when responds are slow to come, I applied in IT. And recently, banking too. I am actually kinda interested in all those I have applied, but now it seems like I will take ANY job that come my way. I still applying jobs on daily basis. I guess I have applied for more than 30 by now already.

Some positions in some decent companies that I really hoped to be able to join, have rejected me. It is actually very disappointing and always set me doubting my own ability a little. However I'm gonna keep my faith in myself and hope for the best! A lot of decent companies out there still!

The next time I post about work, I hope it would be about how is the job that I'm working on, instead of still searching for it! Til then, ciao.

I'm twenty-two :)

So my birthday has just passed, in the midst of examination period. The irony is that I had a great great time celebrating it :)

Last year, I had many people came to my birthday party, it meant a lot to me, that party. I received many presents, wishes and blessing from friends and family alike.

This year, I had different people celebrating my birthday on different occasion. First, having dinner with family and my two aunties. This is a birthday-cum-farewell dinner for me as I will be leaving to the states soon. My aunt gave me 88USD as well - thanks so much for your thoughtful gift :)

Then, is the dinner with my uni mates in the Tram Car Restaurant and some drink in Finnegan's and finished off by a movie with dear. Dear bought me a laptop backpack while the kamsaos bought me macbook protection pack! You guys surely know how much I cared about my precious huh? Thanks, I love both of them so much!

The backpack, sleeve and protection pack (nop, they didn't buy the macbook for me :P)

They made me wear this ugly creative shirt-cum-birthday card!

Perhaps the biggest surprise this time around is the pen that my parents bought me and the dinner that dear treat me to. The former is a Mont Blanc pen (Starwalker series, if I remember correctly) and then a Jogoya dinner. To be honest, I never expected any of it, and it came to me as a total surprise. I just really can't thank you all enough for this..but all I can say is, I love you all ><

Fantastic dinner. nuff said :D :D

Now I'm glad to sign anything you ask me to! :P

Thanks to my family, my dear, my friends and everyone for making me feel special.
Really do appreciate it, and this year's birthday..it's just so wonderful :)

Ants!

Bloody ants! These ants are bloody creepy! Can anybody tell me how to effectively wipe out these creepy-annoying-sick ants? I think they have a giant nest on the tree in front of my house, and been a sore to the eyes as they always go around my house. Tried using those ant poison which supposedly able to kill the whole fucking family, but clearly it's only effective to kill a gang. Now that we thought they are all gone, but we were wrong! My car almost became their new crib! Damnnnn!

On a side-note, the new flu outbreak (they called it swine flu) in the USA and Mexico worries me quite a bit. I'm gonna go there in slightly more than a month and it looks like things are just gonna get worse there. Hopefully it can be fully controlled asap :-I

End of a chapter..

Sorry that I've abandoned you for over a month now, bloggie. So everything has ended. The FYP nightmare is over, the Java game has been written, the VLSI circuit is designed. Each of it gave me sleepless nights, struggling to complete each coursework. No words could not represent my gladness and relieve, no matter how much i write.

Just realised how much I've wanna write in the blog, but just missed it as I have something more important to do, but update will be coming constantly now :)

Well, all the applications for the work n travel USA is done now. Got those time consuming forms and visa interview done, and now I'm just waiting for the flight ticket to be finalised and I'll be waiting for the take off.

Oh, before that, I still have the most important thing to do right now. Study. Haven't been looking at my notes since the beginning of the sem as all the things I've read is about my fyp. Will be giving all that I'm capable of, it's now or never ain't it? The finale of the final exams :)

Thesis!

"When you get better, the game gets harder" was a saying I heard before. How true.

It's all gonna end in approximately 2 weeks time. Draft thesis submission is next friday while the final revised version on the friday after it. I've been working my socks off for the fyp, but nothing seems to be working fine and well for me this whole week. Got stucked in the producing the correct timings for my pwm pulses. I'm having a really bad time going through this as I can't progress on the real testing of my circuit without the correct pwm pulse.

So many obstacles before I can finally complete my fyp. This is definitely the toughest time yet in my life. Everyday you go back, you felt you're a little smarter, but not smart enough to complete your tasks. Wish me luck peeps.

Happy Birthday, Mum

About month ago, we celebrated my mum's birthday. We had a simple celebration, a dinner at Ah Yat Abalone Forum and a drink at Quattro.

The waiting time at Ah Yat was horrible. We changed our booking to half an hour later, but I guessed they did not update to their system which caused our reserved table to be given out to other people. We waited for nearly 45 mins before getting a table. Fortunately, the food was so good that it's able to redeem itself. So let the pictures do the talking :)

There are some other foods that I didn't manage to take photo of it, but overall, I'd say the food taste damn good. The roasted duck is one of the best that I've ever tasted, the skin is crispy while the sauce blends perfectly together with it. I feel a little regret though, having shark's fin soup as it's primary factor as of why sharks are in danger of extinction.

We went for a drink at Quattro, and happy hour was still on! We sang mum a birthday song and cut the caked there.

Happy Birthday, mum. I love you so much.

Wasn't too long ago when the sem has just began but we already planning for a getaway, and this time our trip was to Port Dickson. Just want to make it short, highlights of our trip:

The Good

  1. The drive to Port Dickson through the old Jln Semenyih was so fun! And it was made perfect by the Dim Sum breakfast. Cheap & nice.P2080275
  2. Playing by the beach around 1 noon wasn't really great, it was borderline crazy, but we still had loads of fun!
  3. By the evening, our beach adventure continues with the banana boat ride. The first time for me, dear and Pauline. Drop 4 times into the water & dear nearly cried. Fun. P2080322
  4. Bbq by the beach for dinner was awesome. Food was prepared excellently by Tommy and co. & was cooked just as good! Great food: chicken wing, garlic bread, burger and marshmallow.
  5. Whiskey for the night & saw the girls down the shots because of their good luck. P2090351
  6. An unplanned drive to Malacca for chicken rice & sightseeing.

The Bad:

The skin suffered from sunburn after all the time under the hot sun.20022009573
